Bishop Love and First Lady Karen Love are the proud parents of two adult children Diana Clopton and Michael J. Love II, J.D. and grandparents to Evan and Avery Clopton.
Bishop Dr. Michael J. Love is the senior pastor of Trinity Baptist Community Church International (TBCCI). Trinity is a teaching ministry of God’s Holy Word where we touch, share, love and care and thanks God for the opportunity to praise and worship Him. In June 1978, Bishop Love accepted his call to ministry and begins to deliver inspired, the motivational expository preaching of the good news of Christ’s love for an ever-changing world. His life lessons provide the listener with an opportunity to apply God’s living Word to day-to-day life experiences.
Under the leadership of Bishop Love, Trinity has grown from a Bible-study of thirteen in the living room of his family’s home to a 50,000 square feet campus on 4.2 acres. Included on the campus is 30,000 square feet state-of-the-art Worship Center, which includes a new sanctuary with a maximum seating capacity of 800, a 225 seat capacity banquet hall, ten classrooms, and an inviting and open Narthex. The Chapel, the previous sanctuary, has a seating capacity of 350. Trinity has partnered in ministry with over forty daughter churches in the Dominican Republic, Haiti, India, and Kenya. In 2016, Trinity began a ministry partnership in Jamaica. In 2010, Mt. Sinai Baptist Church of Rockford, IL became an affiliated church of Trinity.
While Trinity may have started in a living room and even spent fourteen years in a gymnasium of a local elementary school, Trinity always has and will continue to be a place where the love of Christ is felt. Bishop Love is an excellent example of good stewardship and servant leadership. It is through his stewardship that Trinity’s current location and the completion of the Worship Center were achieved debt-free.
Over the past 25 years Trinity has birthed over 100 ministries which is a strong message of God’s vision, plan, and purpose for those who serve and believe in Him. Through these ministries, food, clothing, school supplies have been provided, families have been restored, battles against addictions have been won, and increased learning of God’s Holy Word has been achieved. He and the church have been profiled on TLN, WYLL, and in the Northwest Herald, Chicago Tribune and other publications.
Bishop Dr. Love earned a Doctor of Theology Degree (ThD) and a Masters of Theology from Emmaus Bible Institute & Seminary in Tennessee and held a B.A. from Randolph-Macon College. Bishop Dr. Love, a star athlete, is also a graduate of Warren County High School.
